Power extension cord

A Power Extension Cord is designed to extend the connection distance between the power adapter and the controller or between the power adapter and a Power Injection T-Connector. It provides greater flexibility for installation, especially in large outdoor setups.
Note: It cannot be used between the controller and the light strings.

Use Cases

1. Used with the controller to extend the distance between the power adapter and the controller.
 
2. Used with the Power Injection T‑Connector to supply additional power at the middle or end of long light strings.

Important Notes

  • Only use original extension cords supplied by ASAHOM.
  • Do not daisy chain more than 6 ft of extensions together.
  • Check for secure waterproof connections after installation.
  • Different models may have different power requirements. Always refer to your model’s specification sheet.

FAQs

Q1: Can I connect multiple power extension cords together?
A1: It is not recommended to have more than 6 ft of extension cords connected to a single power adapter. Exceeding this may cause voltage drops and reduced brightness.
 
Q2: Will using a power extension cord affect the brightness of the lights?
A2: No, as long as the total extension length is within the recommended limit and all waterproof connectors are properly secured.
 
Q3: Can I use third-party power extension cords?
A3: Not recommended. For safety and to maintain waterproof performance, use only original ASAHOM power extension cords.
 
Q4: What happens if the total extension length exceeds the maximum limit?
A4: Exceeding the recommended length may result in voltage drop, causing lights to dim or operate unstably.
